The artist Lara Lars specialises in collage. She shows us that the path toward beauty and happiness can be sketched by taking the best from each place and bringing it all together in a new reality.
«Thanks to the talks I give about my work, is that often there are young women in attendance. One of them once told me, “Well, I now realise that it’s fine to be the class weirdo; it’s OK”. That’s when I knew that the reason why I had begun to make collages was coming to fruition».
«I really enjoy things, the small things. I go to the cinema, I watch a film that I like, and I get really motivated to do something.».
The artist Lara Lars specialises in collage. She also conducts archaeological studies of the graphical past and rescues people and places.
In this way, she discovers the stories of women, redraws them, disseminates them and builds new aesthetic realities using scissors and glue.
She journeys through the scenarios she creates, in a sedate way, spending the right amount of time on each moment. And she shows us that the path toward beauty and happiness can be sketched by taking the best from each place and bringing it all together in a new reality.
If you feel like it, you can accompany us to the places we have walked with Lara Lars.
«When I go out for a walk I enjoy the uncertainty. I like to discover new places, to see shop windows and to enjoy whatever turns up, rather than making plans. In that sense I am quite bohemian».
